The Global Research Network consists of a solid base of research institutes and universities. Minddistrict is tech partner is several projects. We highlight some of the projects and partners below.


MasterMind is a European research project that aims to make high quality treatment for depression more widely available for adult sufferers, through the use of ICT. The goal is to assess the impact of cCBT and collaborative care facilitated by video conference across 11 EU and Associated Countries for 5000 participants. Partners GGZinGeest, Schön klinik, Barmer GEK and the Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg use the Mindistrict platform for MasterMind research.

IMPROVE 2 – University of Exeter

The Mood Disorders Centre, University of Exeter has launched an innovative trial (IMPROVE-2 ) to investigate and improve internet-based therapy for depression. The purpose of this research is to better understand the active ingredients of online cognitive behavioural therapy so that we can build stronger and better psychological treatments.

Minddistrict is technical partner in the European research project ‘Integrating Technology into Mental Health Care Delivery in Europe (ICare)’, a Horizon 2020 project. The purpose of ICare is the development of one common platform with validated interventions for prevention, detection and treatment of common disorders. The platform and interventions are then distributed throughout Europe. Minddistrict provides the platform this project. Research partners are Technische Universität Dresden, King’s College London, Universitat de Valencia and Medizinische Universität Wien.

Leuphana Universität

Leuphana University has already conducted 18 different research and development projects with the Minddistrict platform and has developed seven online interventions under the name GET.ON. In addition to this, they have also conducted research into the (cost) effectiveness and efficacy of different ways of delivering ehealth interventions.
