Who is this module for?

This module is suitable for adults experiencing prolonged and significant levels of stress or burnout related to work. The goal of the module is to contribute to spotting the signs of work stress and improving in managing stress levels.

What is the module about?

The module ‘Work stress’ consists of 6 sessions and 2 (optional) diaries, in which relevant topics are discussed. For instance: the sources of stress, the different elements that perpetuate or prevent work stress as well as the skills that can be learned to best manage it. In each session the patient receives information, reads about the experiences of example patients and practices with one or more exercises.

The exercises focus on understanding what triggers work stress, what can help to overcome it and how this knowledge can contribute to preventing work stress or a work-related burnout from re-occurring in the future.

The sessions can be used in a sequence as well as independently depending on the different topics a therapist hopes to explore with their patients. This allows you to deliver a more personalised and seamless treatment programme to your patient.

What are the sessions within the module?

  1. Welcome
  2. What’s been going on?
  3. Why all this stress?
  4. Staying on top
  5. Speak up
  6. Building your resilience

Which diaries work well with this module?

The Stress diary is a helpful diary to use alongside this module. The module can also be combined with all generic diaries or with diaries that fit the goal of the client.
