Youth: OCD

Online module for young people dealing with OCD

Obsessive compulsive behaviours are not something only adults struggle with. Young people do as well. It can be very hard for them to stop the behaviour, but it is possible for children to start fighting their compulsions.

Who is this module for?

This module is intended for young people aged between 12 and 18 who suffer from compulsions.

What's the content of this module?

Three main topics are discussed: anxious thoughts, behaviour prevention and avoidance. All three topics are explained and exercises can be completed. In this way, the idea is promoted that the young person feels safer even without doing the compulsive behaviour.

How can this module be used?

Therapists and healthcare practitioners can assign this module to their clients and/or combine it with, for example, a diary or any of our other youth modules, such as 'Youth: Social anxiety' and 'Youth: Panic'.
