Who is it for?

This module is suitable for adults whose ruminative tendency leads to unproductive behaviour and negative feelings.

What is the module about?

The module is step 2 IAPT compliant using low intensity CBT and follows the NICE guidelines.

The goal of the module is to develop skills through which one can learn to use rumination as a starting point to solve or accept problems, instead of losing oneself in the rumination. In each of the 6 sessions (as well as the ‘Welcome’ session), the client receives information, reads about the experiences of example clients and practises with one or more exercises. The exercises focus on understanding what sets off your rumination, developing problem-solving skills and learning how to approach problems in a mindful way.

How has this module been developed?

The module has been developed in close co-operation with an expert panel of therapists and patients. The Minddistrict team familiarises itself with cutting-edge research and the most recent evidence-based practices. Relevant literature is taken into account during the development. IAPT module

There is a version of this module available especially for IAPT-services. In this version the Minimum Data Set is interwoven throughout the module.
